Prof. TA De-An


Prof. De-An Ta received his Ph.D degree from the Institute of Acoustics, Tongji University in May 2002. He was a Postdoc researcher at Dept of Electr Eng., Fudan University from during 2002-2004, He was promoted to a full professor in May, 2010. He is currently vice head of the Dept of Electr Eng, Vice-Chairman of Biomed Ultrasound Speciality of Chinese Soc of Acoustics and Standing committee member of Apparatus Eng Speciality of Chinese Association of Ultrasound in Med & EngIEEE member. He was chairmen of bone section and industrial applications of NDT section of the World Congress on Ultrasonics (WCU) - Ultrasonics Int (UI) in 2005. He is adjunct Prof at College of Med Instrum& Food Eng, Shanghai Univ of Sci & Tech. During June to Dec 2006 and Sept 2009 he was a visiting scholar of University of Alberta, Canada and University of Jyv?skyl?, Finland, respectively. He was selected as superexcellent PostDoc at Fudan University, the Century Star of Fudan Univ and super -excellent youth teacher program of university at Shanghai in 2006. He was selected as Shanghai Rising-Star Program in 2007 and Dean'sAward of School of Inform Sci & Eng at Fudan University in 2009. He has been Principal Investigator of more than 10 projects granted by Chinese Government and Shanghai Municipal Government. He has contributed about 100 papers, coauthored 1 book and 2 patents pending.
Research Fields
His research interests include biomedical ultrasound and its diagnosis system, and medical signal processing. The generation, propagation and applications of ultrasonic guided waves in medicine (bone) and NDE & E. The applications of numerical techniques in ultrasound.
